This year's convention is July 12-14 at the Hilton Bayfront in St. Petersburg.

Three day membership is $40 but daily memberships are also available.

This year we're hosting one entire track on Saturday of panels and events devoted to British TV!

As a BritTrack attendee you will have access to SoMeCon's well stocked con suite, and other programming tracts. Come for the day, stay for the vid show and Vogon Prose!

And for the first time in SoMeCon history we are hosting - a costume contest / talent show! Come as your favorite TV/movie/comic/anime character, alien, steampunk persona, alternate universe detective or original character. Come sing a filk song or recite Shakespere as your favorite Doctor would, or... whatever! The costume contest will be a featured event on Saturday afternoon, leaving plenty of time for fans to gather for the traditional, wonderful Italian buffet dinner.

We are currently taking suggestions for panels. Panels are scheduled for Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and Sunday until 3pm. We run two concurrent panel tracks each day. There will be one panel track opposite of the all day Brit Track on Saturday.

Today is the last day to register at the $40 rate. Tomorrow the rate goes up to $50, which is the rate up to and including registering at the door.

Hotel rooms are still available and registration is $40 until July 1. After July 1 registration is $50. One day passes are available.

SouthernMediaCon is a small media fandom convention in the Tampa Bay area. We are gen, het, and slash friendly!

Membership

SoMeCon 2011 membership is only $40 until July 1st, $50 at door. Membership includes:

* All panels and workshops
* Access to our well-stocked consuite and the dealers' room

Meals

Reservations for each meal must by made by July 10th. You can use the PayPal link below to pay for you dinner. Please write a comment with you paymant noting what it is for!

Light supper on Friday is $10
Saturday Italian dinner is $15
Breakfast on Sunday (buffet) is $10

Con Activities

SouthernMedia starts at 3:00 p.m. Friday and ends at 4:00 p.m. Sunday. The schedule includes fan panels, trivia contests, a Vogon prose reading, Welcome Party, songvids, and bloopers.
